Knotty by Nature: 4 New Rustic Alder Doors Join the Lineup

New Product Releases

At Superior Cabinets, we’re going all in on rustic. Our recent blog, Introducing Rustic Knotty Alder Cabinets, sparked major interest from designers, new home builders, renovation contractors, authorized dealer partners, and homeowners alike. That’s why we’re thrilled to expand the collection with four new door styles that combine the raw beauty of rustic alder with some of our most in-demand profiles.

These new additions—Mesa, Manhattan, Michigan, and Burlington—were hand-picked by our Product Development team for good reason. Each style brings something special to the table, balancing rustic character with timeless mass appeal. They’ve all proven themselves popular in other wood species, and now they’re ready to shine in our trending rustic finish.

Meet the New Doors

The manhattan and mesa doors by superior cabinets, now available in rustic knotty alder.

Mesa
A favourite among transitional kitchens, Mesa features a slim shaker profile with just enough depth to make a statement. This door lets the knots and character marks of the alder wood take centre stage.

Manhattan
Clean, crisp, and oh-so versatile, Manhattan’s squared edges and modern shaker look make it a designer go-to. It softens the rustic texture just enough to appeal to both modern and farmhouse sensibilities.

The michigan and burlington doors by superior cabinets, now available in rustic knotty alder.

Michigan
With its slightly wider stiles and rails, the Michigan door adds a grounded, craftsman-like feel to rustic alder. It’s great for spaces that call for warmth and durability without compromising on sophistication.

Burlington
Elegant and traditional, Burlington has a roundover routed detail that complements the rugged grain of knotty alder in the most unexpected way. It’s perfect for clients who want something a little more classic—without going too polished. See the Burlington Door Style featured in Project [RUNDLE].

Why Rustic Alder?

If you missed it, this post explains what makes Rustic Knotty Alder such a standout material—natural character, timeless charm, and unmatched warmth. It pairs beautifully with neutral stone countertops, matte black accents, or even a touch of brushed gold for contrast. The positive feedback we’ve received from our dealers and design partners confirmed what we already suspected: Rustic is having a moment, and it’s here to stay.
