On May 22nd, 2014 we had the distinct pleasure of hosting the Interior Designers Association of Saskatchewan (IDAS) Chapter Members for a Lunch and Learn titled “Social Media Storytelling for the Designer” at the Superior Cabinets Kitchen and Bath headquarters in Saskatoon
I had the pleasure of presenting the social media journey of Kevin Worman, Senior Design Consultant – Superior Cabinets Saskatoon. Here we discussed real accounts of Kevin’s “kitchen design centric” social media streams and discussed the always important what, why and where questions. Often for design centric individuals, social media is either a nuisance or something that is out of their comfort zone. The truth is that everyone has a story to tell and more often than not, real people want to hear that story, so they can build an emotional connection with your brand (personal and professional).
“The Sales Cycle for most starts when the client walks in the door… for us it started online a year ago, when the customer was on a journey seeking ideas and inspiration for their dream kitchen. We were there to have a conversation with them and provide real value, without ever having to sell anything. We give knowledge first regardless of the outcome.”
“As always this Superior Cabinets seminar was fun, exciting and inspiring! It was great learning the different Social Media options, their benefits and where to get started relevant to the Interior Design world” – Tara Lefebvre IDT, Designer/Marketing Assistant at Westridge Homes
On behalf of Superior Cabinets, I would like to thank all of the Interior Designers Association of Saskatchewan (IDAS) Chapter Members that came to our presentation on “Social Media Storytelling for the Designer”.
