November 27th, 2015 marked the home dedication ceremony for four deserving families who received the keys to their new Habitat for Humanity home. These homes are part of a four-plex project, located on Ave S South in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
In attendance was His Worship Mayor Don Atchison, Rob Norris MLA Saskatoon Greystone, the Habitat for Humanity Saskatoon staff, board members and numerous volunteers who assisted with the construction of this project.
The Superior Cabinets volunteers helped with the some construction tasks to help build this project. The team assisted with a few hands-on tasks including hanging drywall, painting, and most importantly, teambuilding! Superior also donated two sets of kitchen and bathroom cabinets for two of the homes, designed by Cristin Emmerson, Senior Design Consultant.
Superior Cabinets would like to thank the amazing staff at Habitat for Humanity Saskatoon for their dedication and for the privilege of collaborating on this special project.

James Neufeld, General Manager of Superior Cabinets Saskatchewan presents a P&G cleaning package to a new Habitat for Humanity home owner.
About the Avenue S South Project:
This is a unique and exciting project for Habitat for Humanity Saskatoon. In partnership with the Prairie Spirit School division, Da Vinci project these homes will be constructed almost entirely by students from WW Brown high school in Langham. Starting in grade 10 students get out from behind desks and learn hands-on construction skills building these modular homes. Students are instructed in safety, construction skills, and gain “real-life experience.” Students who are part of this program have truly taken ownership of building these homes. While working on this project students earn credit towards their journey-person certification in carpentry.

About Habitat for Humanity
Habitat partner families put in 500 hours of volunteer hours building their home which acts as their down payment. Families then take on a no-interest mortgage that is structured to ensure they can afford their home and other necessities of life. Habitat for Humanity is able to provide these no-interest affordable homes because of the donations of individuals and corporations in our community. Homes are built with 95% volunteer labour using donated materials whenever possible. For more information visit, www.habitatsaskatoon.ca
