Have you started your Holiday Baking? Imagine a snowy day in 1980, your grandmother is rolling dough on the kitchen countertops…. Just kidding, we won’t bore you with a story and will get to the point! This Company’s Coming Butter Tarts recipe has legendary status at Superior Cabinets, so we had to share it.
BUTTER TARTS
Ingredients
- 1/3 Cup Raisins [to suit taste]
- 12 Tart Shells
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar [packed]
- 3 Tablespoons Margarine
- 1 Teaspoon Lemon Juice
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Place unbaked tart shells on a cookie sheet, add several raisins to each shell.
- Combine remaining ingredients.
- Fill tart shells with mixture over the raisins to about ¾ full, or until raisins are covered.
- Bake 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- 10-12 minutes is usually enough time, but each oven is different.
- Recipe can be doubled or tripled with excellent results.
